I’ve always believed that a zombie apocalypse would sooner happen than any effect of global warming can dish out. I’m deathly scared of the standard Halloween characters you’d see in every scary Halloween card. Whether it be the traditional ghost, vampires or everyone’s favorite, zombies, I get irked by anything scary.

Not when things are cute and funny of course. And I don’t know how people do it but even the most gruesome characters and spine-tingling monsters turn out cute once you apply just the right proportions. Scary Halloween cards turn funny when you see them dancing and when it’s actually your face on the body of the dancing characters. Yes, sort of like CardFunk.

I blame the castration of supposedly horror monsters in supposedly scary Halloween cards to Michael Jackson. (bless his soul) His thriller was freaky back in its day but nowadays with even freakier movies and tv shows on scary characters, it just comes across as funny.

Before September comes to an end, why don’t we all indulge in our inner gossip and look at all the September Birthday Celebrants in the right side of Hollywood?

September has been a month of star-studded birthday celebrations starting with Gloria Estefan, Keanu Reeves, Pink and of course the diva from whom all the Kanye West Interruption internet memes came from… and no, I’m not talking about Taylor Swift.

Since September is ending, most of the birthdays have come and gone however we still have one more coming up and that is one of the Men in Black’s birthday, Will Smith!

Will Smith has done it all. He has been an actor, a singer, a producer and a writer throughout the course of his career. And while most actors never seem to make a clean crossover between the two crafts and vice versa, surprisingly, Will Smith has been one of the few to successfully do it. Now with the equally famous wife Jada Pinkett Smith and three kids, Will Smith will no doubt have a slamming birthday.

For anyone, even more special than the usual holidays like Christmas, New Year and Halloween, would be their birthday. Birthdays are special because every single day is somebody’s birthday. It’s the kind of holiday that just keeps happening whether you like it or not. Every single day is a reason to celebrate. The party never stops in the same way that the funny birthday cards don’t stop producing.

Okay, so I’m exaggerating. In any case, because birthdays happen every single day all around the world, it’s only natural how the number of funny birthday cards greatly outweighs the number of Happy New Year cards.
