So how was Halloween for you guys? Here in CardFunk, people are still trying to sweat off all the candy and chocolate they consumed during the party. The office was literally hopping with over-enthusiastic sugarholics. The creative team of CardFunk was bouncing off the walls. Why not? For one thing, our animated halloween card was a success! Thank you everyone for supporting us.

This was what we had to eat during Halloween:

Of course we’re kidding. But at the rate we’re going we might as well consume five big tubs of those! After Halloween, we are now preparing for the next big season in the whole world. What is it? You guessed it! Christmas! There are a lot of ideas going on about the kind of Christmas card that we’d be putting out this year.

Here’s some clues of what’s in store for you this Christmas. We’re going to use some photos just to give slight clues:

Excited yet? We sure hope so. Around this time we’re already preparing for an awesome Christmas. We hope to give you something that you’ll gladly send once the time comes!

In the meantime, let’s all chill. 8>

So we were going over some ideas for scary Halloween cards and we compiled some ideas that came from the group. Remember that here in CardFunk, we don’t care how strange or how scary your ideas are. We encourage everyone to think.

So in looking for ideas for scary Halloween cards, we came across some pretty freaky suggestions ranging from a Kermit the Frog Serial Killer to Dancing Spawn of Satan. Some ideas are too disturbing and offensive to put out so we’ll just keep it to ourselves.

celebrity zombies
1. Celebrity Zombies – you’ve seen them before, right? Those zombified photos of celebrities that has been making rounds online last year. But then we thought most celebrities look like zombies already anyways, ZING!

pennywise the clown
2. Pennywise the Clown Dance – we all agreed that the book was much, much more disturbing. And a scary clown will just be too easy.

twilight attack
3. Vampire Attack! – it sounded like a good idea at the moment but then all vampires lost their deathly appeal when Edward came along. They’re just not menacing enough anymore.

We here at CardFunk understand the glory of sexy halloween costumes and ideas. Last year, around Halloween time, we were busy creating animated Christmas cards and funny characters to be paying attention. But now that we can really enjoy Halloween we’re on the look-out for one of the best things about Halloween:

Three words my friend: Sexy. Halloween. Costumes.

In the words of Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother:

“You know what I love about Halloween. It’s the one night of the year chicks use to unleash their inner ho-bag. A girl dresses up like a witch, she’s a slutty witch. If she’s a cat, she’s a slutty cat. If she’s a nurse-”

Here my friends is why we love Halloween:

So what are your plans for Halloween?

Puking Pumpkins. Ah the spirit of Halloween be with us!

I’ve always believed that a zombie apocalypse would sooner happen than any effect of global warming can dish out. I’m deathly scared of the standard Halloween characters you’d see in every scary Halloween card. Whether it be the traditional ghost, vampires or everyone’s favorite, zombies, I get irked by anything scary.

Not when things are cute and funny of course. And I don’t know how people do it but even the most gruesome characters and spine-tingling monsters turn out cute once you apply just the right proportions. Scary Halloween cards turn funny when you see them dancing and when it’s actually your face on the body of the dancing characters. Yes, sort of like CardFunk.

I blame the castration of supposedly horror monsters in supposedly scary Halloween cards to Michael Jackson. (bless his soul) His thriller was freaky back in its day but nowadays with even freakier movies and tv shows on scary characters, it just comes across as funny.

So the Thriller Dance on a supposedly scary Halloween card. Put your face on it and make someone laugh, why don’t you? Go ahead! Do it!
